Second Fingerprint Notice

I got my second finger print (FP) notice in the mail. I am scheduled for September 4th. Please comment. Here is my timeline:

Priority Date: April 13th 2006
First FP: May 11th' 2006
Interview Notice: Dec 11th' 2006
Interview Date: Jan 11th' 2007
My file wasn't transferred to the local Atlanta DO.
Interview Rescheduled: ???
Seconf FP Notice: Aug 25th 2007

Do the FP but in the meantime also do an Infopass, your PD is well out of their now processing date so they may help you out.

I'd say it's a very good sign. CIS is working with your file. My forecast - you should get your IL soon.

Agreed - the USCIS does not simply sent Second FP letters to whomever has been fingerprinted more than 15 months before. It is likely that they are sending Second FP letters to applicants with xapplications they are actively working on (i.e. with Interview Letter coming soon).

MY Second FP issue

Thank you Cybex and McMahon for comforting me. I hope you are both right, but sometimes I think this letter that was sent to me by USCIS for my re-fingerprints was just a computer generated mail and it was again just a formality. If my case or file is stuck in background check or security clearance then what does this FP gotta do with it. I hope I am not being too negative, just don't want to keep my hopes too high and get disappointed later.
