Second extension for B2?

Hi,

Could we apply for a second extension without leaving the US?
The visa itself is valid for 10 years. At the first entry, they gave
6 months of stay. Before that was up, we applied for extension and
granted another 6 months. This is also approaching to end and we
need to stay longer for medical reasons. Could we apply for another
extension? If not, do we need to go out and come back?

I very much doubt you will be approved for second extension on B visa

It would seem that they are living in the USA and therefore have immigrant intent

It is worth a try but the reason for extension should be an exceptional reason

I would agree that it's unlikely. However, if you can show a legitimate medical issue that requires you to be here and that you have the inability to travel or to obtain such medical care in your country, perhaps you'd have a better chance. Definitely show that you have the financial capacity to support yourself here and your medical needs without having to work in the US.
