Seattle WA transfer - Please update with any info you have...

My I-485 application was transferred to local INS office in Seattle , WA on Mar 17, 2003.


How long it takes to get the interview ?
Do they approve on the same day ?

if anybody who had been to the interview, please share u'r exciting experience and also the list of documents I need to take to INS office.
 
Seattle Interview.

We had our interview done today. We originally recd our transfer notices on Jan 10th of this year. The interview was scheduled for today (Mar 18th). We recd our interview notice on Jan 27th. The procedure was fairly straight forward. The INS Officer asked us a couple of simple questions such as when me and my wife met and how long was it before marriage etc. The questions will vary depending on why they have called you for an interview. We got our passports stamped the same day about 1hr after the interview process was over. The interview itself lasted about 20minutes. The list of documents that you would want to take depends on the reason for interview. In my case, we took docs that prove our cohabitation including utility bills, joint bank accounts, credit cards etc. The officer we had did *not* ask for even a single document. The whole process was done by a couple of hours.

Hi HTH,

You mentioned you received the transfer notice on Jan 10th, but do you know when it was transferred.Because it gets transferred first and then in a week time you receive the transfer notice.

My lawyer just informed me that he got a interview appointment for my case for the 24th of April. I have not recd. the notice yet,nor has the online status/AVM changed. Was wondering how long it takes for that to happen.
