search new job time

Our RD of I-485 is 8/2002

It's already more than 180 days.
But now my company is not doing good. I will be laid off at the end of this month.

I know I have to find a new job, I'm searching now. I wonder according to AC21 how long I should spend finding a new job?
Is there a time limitation?

AC21 states nothing of that sort - you should be able to reply within 90 days of receiving an emp based RFE (emp letter , pay stubs etc.). RFE is usually generated 18-20 months after 485 RD, so you do the math good luck with the job hunt
