Gurus, Please Advise!!

I have a pending AOS (02-068xx) and am currently working on my EAD. Can I legally form a SCorp with my current status?

If by "SCorp" you mean S-type corporation, then NO.

What's so restrictive/special about S-type corporation that you can't use your EAD?

I thought with EAD you can work anywhere in the U.S. without restrictions?

The question was about if one can form an S-type corporation while in AOS (with or without EAD, which is irrelevant in this case).

Yay only form a C Corp.. even though I wanted to form an S Corp, I could not.. I am on an EAD and started my own company and its doing pretty well now...

How about LLP? Starting small, I wanted to restrain on the initial investments and avoid a C-corp.

AFAIR, you can go with pretty much anything but S-type.
