I am an exchange teacher holding a J1 visa and working at a school at DC. Unfortunately the school will probably close down before the end of this school year.
What will happen to my visa? Does it mean than once I have no employer I have no visa?
I don't know if it is relevant, but it seems that an educational organization other than the school itself is my sponsor. But still..no work. I wonder if there is a grace period that will allow me to find another place or am I in danger of immediately packing up and leave?
