Schengen Visa question, 90 Days?

I will go to Spain for 1 week I'll apply for"Schengen Visa", I'm gonna decide if I'll stay a little more time to go to another country, The question is:

If I show mi airline ticket only available for 1 week the visa will be valid for that time or normally they approve the visa for "Short Term Stay Visa" ( 90 Days)?

Any experiences???

They'll issue the visa accordin to your tickets. If your travel dates say one week...that's how long you'll be able to stay.

Spain

I just received a visa for Spain. They will give a visa based on your TICKET and HEALTH INSURANCE.
The health insurance should be the same as your ticket. If the ticket is for 10 days, the health insurance should be for 10 days.
