Scheduling Interview after Name Check

I had my FP done on May 23, 2006 at San Francisco. I have not received an interview letter yet.

Since it has been two month, I am getting really worried now. What can I do?

I heard that they are now waiting for name check result before scheduling the interview. Is it true? I am suspecting that might be why…

Any advice is welcomed!

Hi there!

Yes, in theory, this has always been USCIS policy - even before the inner office memorandum of April 25th, 2006.

So it is a possibility that your name check in all its uselessness has not cleared yet.

I am in a similar suitation, did FP on 6/14/2006, have not got interview letter.

i guess, they are waiting for name check clearance before scheduling the interview.

does that mean people who got interview letters have cleared name check?
Is name check clearence is mandatory these days, in CSC, for sending interview letter ??

IV letter recd: 21 july 2006
IV date: 19 sept 2006

Took an Infopass appt today, went to SFO DO, and found that they do NOT tell
in advance if namecheck is cleared or not. FOIPA response is "no Records"
 
if they start waiting for the name check prior they schedule the interview, there would have no more law suit to USCIS. they should have done it long time ago or follow the policy which they should have.
