Scheduled Interview -Need help!

Hi All,

I am scheduled for a business-based adjustment application at the Los Angeles District Office on August 16, 2004.

And I'm not sure if I need an attorney for my interview based on my details listed below. Please anybody with an interview experience post your opinion, it will be highly appreciated it.

I am a derivative beneficiary of an employment-based adjustment application. My husband's application has been approved (Feb 2002 NSC) and my application has been referred to the District Office. I married my husband prior to the time that his application for adjustment status was approved, but my adjustment application was filed after the date of his approval.

I entered the United States many years ago on a border crossing card. At that time, I did not receive an I-94 form or a stamp on my passport when I entered legally on the BCC. I am 245(i) eligible and I did file the 245(i) supplement and the $1,000 penalty fee.

Thank you, in advance, for your time.

Sweet

It's alway a safe choice to have the atterney go with you .

Could you post your RD and transfer date? My case was transfered on 7/20. I try to have an idea of the waiting time.

Thanks.

Here are my details...

Sweet,

Thanks.

I am also a 245i case. I would really appreciate if you could post your interview experience later.

Wish you good luck and have a smooth interview!!

My case is also 245i, I understand what you guys went thru; I haven't been able to go home for more than 10 years now. I consider myself extremely lucky to get approval without interview. I can always remember the day, 12/19/00, when old Bill signed the paper to give us a window of opportunity. So keep your spitits up, and I pray that you folks will have a smooth interview and freedom afterwards.

Approved!!!

Approved on 8/16/04 after a few long hours of delay due to the missing vaccination supplement in the I-693 sealed packet from the doctor's office.

We arrived at the immigration office at 9:15 am and left around 4:15 PM. After the interview, that lasted about an hour (between 11 am - 12 pm), we made a quick trip to the doctor's office to get the I-693 supplement that they had apparently forgotten to include with the medical exam.

Everything else was o.k., the questions were pretty straightforward
and we did seem to have satisfactory answers. Also, we were represented
by an attorney.

This seems like a major milestone in one's life journey!!

Thanks for all the support and best wishes to those who are still waiting for your approvals.

-Sweet
