On October 14, 2003, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to our office in WASHINGTON, DC for them to schedule and conduct your interview. Scheduling can take several months. Our office in WASHINGTON, DC will notify you when they schedule your interview or take other action on your case.


Does it really take several months to schedule? and what do they ask?

unfortunaltely your application has been trasferred to arlington office for local interview. Please check the thread in this form for transfers to Washington.

FYI I was transferred on Feb 28th and my interview is still not done.

Sorry to hear about your case. What I heard is they are taking around 8-12 months time to process.

there is no logic in that. May be they didnt like my file or whatever. Check the thread I mentioned. There are lots of people who get transfered. Yjay just got transferred last week..

The no of cases transfered (19%) > no of Approvals(13%)

There seems to be no logic behind it and could be randomly used to decrease the backlogs.
