Scary message

Today, USCIS received my response to RFE and the online message is something like this:

On December 29, 2004, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 570 and 600 days for us to process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case.

My God, will the decision really take that long? Could anybody share the experience?

I got the same message after they received the rfe on 22nd, since then i saw the LUD change a couple of times (w/out email). I am still waiting for approval. It is very frustrating to wait... anyway good luck.
 
I was in the same situation couple of weeks ago.
How long?--- I would be millionaire if I could predict that.
For me it took 4 and 1/2 months after I replied BC RFE to get that approved.

did your LUD change today as well?
 
It took me more than a year

Hi,

I got the same online message after the receipt of 2nd ref by USCIS. I was so upset and confused with the message. In the begining, I tried to cross out every single day I passed on the calendar, finally I got fed up with the counting. One year and 4 months later, my case was approved. So, my experience tells me that the message is standard but the waiting time could be different.

I got the same message. However my application was approved 13 days after the rfe response. Again, it depends upon what kind of RFE was generated against your application. In my case, the RFE was not eval, so they approved the application immidiately. However, applicants with eval RFE who responded to their RFE the same day as I did, were not so lucky.

My RFE was about the medical exam. Damn doctor forgot to check one of the exam results in the medical form so I have to redo it and sent to USCIS. They also asked for the copies of all EADs but no employment letter, which kind of surprise me because I have changed job since I filed 485. I'll keep my finger X and see how long :)

Yes, my LUD changed from 22nd onwards till 28th dec, for some reason it hasnt changed since then till date (30th) :confused:

My wife's rfe was received by USCIS on 29th and LUD changed on 29th and today, 30th.

God only knows what's going on there!

are you having hard time to pass this time coz I am. I get up early everyday and at work I just dont feel to do anything.... I think I was better when I didnt have RFE but since then I am getting crazy....

My ghosh, i feel exactly the same! So i am not alone. Before RFE i was more relaxed (not 100% though) but in the past couple of days, it has been awful. I am checking the status and email almost every hour hoping for something to happen. I am waiting to get this over so bad! not able to concentrate at work.

Lets keep our hopes alive and pray that this nightmare get past us pretty soon :( :(
