We agree to certain extent that the "Processing dates" have no sense. However, if you observe for the past 2 months, it has been changing continuously and appears the efforts are being made
to keep the lag time to maximum of 2 years.
They are processing new application to "claim" that they are approving the applications of published dates. All their time/efforts will be taken in doing so, leaving not much time to take care of back logs.
From now on we can expect continuous change in processing dates- but with no effective approvals.
