Hi everyone! I hope someone can help. My family and I have been here since 2001. Entered as B1/B2, extended our stay for six more months, then changed to F-1 and F-2. I am the main F-1, and my husband and children are F-2, except my oldest for whom we just changed status to F-1 to start college. so we only have status here, not visa from our country.
My father in law died, and my husband traveled back to Guatemala on F-2 status. He took I-20's, letters from the school, financial proof paperwork and all. I am just scared to death for him to go to our embassy, because we've heard horror stories!. We've been legal AT ALL times, but they say he may be denied.
Ok, my question. His B1/B2 visa i still valid until 2007. Could he reenter on that visa? I just need him back!
