I have an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and am currently on OPT. During my M.S., I had a Graduate Assistantship with an office that does web-based programming in the university. Now, that office has offered to hire me part-time on a contract for a few months. My International adviser said that I could take up that job as long as I can prove that it is linked to my major.
During my M.S., I had taken only one course that had a bit of programming. Could some one please tell me if and how I can satisfy the clause for OPT that says the job should be in the field of the major studied.
