San Jose passport stamping experience

Hi everybody,
I would like to know if anyone recently went to San Jose for stamping PP upon the 485 approval. Their web site says its open from 7.00 to 3.00 pm, except on Thu when it is 7.00 to 12.00

Any suggestions which day is a good one to go? I have heard people saying that we need to be there in line by 4 am, but that was abt 3-4 motnhs back.
I would appreciate if some one could post his/her recent experience and has some info from friends etc.. as to what is th ebest average time to be there.

I don't know if this is the same office you are planning to go to.

Scheduled Office Closings:

San Jose Sub Office will close to the public at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 8, 2002. (Detention Facilities will be open normal hours). The office will resume normal operating hours on Friday, August 9, 2002.
