All,
Just wanted to share my GC stamping experience
WAC02057***
ND 12/09/2001
AD 01/14/2004
Stamping Date 1/26/2004
Went to San Jose INS Center ( 1887 Monterry Street) around 6:30 AM. There were 40 people ahead of me in general line
Security guys allowing only people with "written" appointment letters in appointment line
Got into building around 9 AM, was called to counter around 10:45 AM. No questions asked, just took signature, fingerprinting., asked us to wait for 10 min.
Passport Stamped around 11 AM and was informed my actual Green Card would be received in 4 months.
Please make sure that you have
1) Origninal I-485 approval notice
2) 2 color photos (Just say for GC and the photographer would know)
3) ALL previous/current EAD, AP docs
4) Original I-94
5) Ofcourse, Valid Passport
6) Reading material/Walkman etc to kill time.
** Its extremely cold, so wear warm clothes., Ski Wear worked well for me
In Crux, though waiting in chill was painful, once you are in the building, you are all set for a smooth sail.
WISH YOU ALL A SPEEDY APPROVAL.
Regards,
Ram
