San Jose CIS office, what's a good time to go?

Does anyone have a rough idea of what time one must arrive at the San Jose office in order to get a number?

They open at 7. If you get there at 6, you probably have a good chance of getting in any time between 7:30 and 8. That would be on a normal day.

My wife got there at 7 and she didn't make it that day (no numbers). but she didn't find out until about 11. So bring food drinks and something interesting to read.

I commute on the Monterey road every morning and see those poor folks standing in there. My subjective feeling is that on Fridays the line seems shorter.
