San Francisco Vs. San Jose CSC

Hello,

I'm sending N-400 application today to address as mentioned in the guide -

USINS California Service Center
Attention N-400 Unit
P O Box 10400
Laguna Niguel, CA 92607-0400

How to know if my case will be in San Francisco CSC or San Jose CSC? Does that depend on where the interview will be? Or, where the individual's address is ??

Please advise.

CSC is the address listed in above. it is nothing called SF CSC or SJ CSC.

SFO or SJC is the DO, not CSC.

N400 cases' DO seem to be classificed based on individual's zip code. However, I have read someone to have SJ DO and be scheduled to have interview in SF.

They would be doing the load balancing to share the work load.

DO = district office

Different DOs have their own processing time line.

As of Jun 14, SJ's processing for the PD 12/15/04 and SF is 1/24/05.

however, I really do not count on the timeline which is posted on USCIS website. they are more like a guideline only. In the next month, SF could go backware and SJ could jump way ahead.
