San Francisco Filing - No receipt notice?

Hello,
I filed an I-130/485/131 to the San Francisco local office which was received November 15. I have not yet received a receipt notice. I have phoned USCIS and they informed me that the office does not send out receipt notices. Is this true? The USCIS website states that a notice should be sent out within 30 days. I am confused and concerned that there is a problem with the application. How long did it take any of you to obtain EAD/AP from the San Francisco office after submission and did you receive a receipt notice? Thank you very much.

Hi John!

I just submitted my wife's I-130/485/131 to the SF office for processing - so I probably cant tell you if I am going to get a receipt notice or not yet. However, would like to know the status of your advance parole application. Have they approved it yet?

No reciept notice

When you file your application to the local offices, they don't necessarily send you the reciept notice. A friend of mine filed the same from San jose and just got his EAD in the mail without a reciept notice.
