No need

Green Guru,

There is no need for tax stubs and all that...But yes, take I-94, forgot to include that in the list :)

Thanks Guys....

Thanks for the Info Anitha and C++.

GC201: I don't think there is any specific date for stamping. Once you recieve you Approval Notices, You can go any day( Mon-Thur) for your stamping.

Friends Please correct me , If I am wrong.

Hmmm....i really dont know the answer to this question...however when i went for stamping, i was not asked for any address proof...so i am not sure..

Hi Anitha,

I have a stamping question on US Immigration. My I-485 was just approved. I understand that they ask Driver License for Photo ID or residence proof.
I have my friend address in State A for INS purpose. But I live in state B and hold Driver license of State B. Now I need to go for stamping in state A.
Is there a way that, the stamping can be done without showing my Driver License. Will they insist that we need to present Driver License as the only form of ID or for proof of residense.

Thanks

Normally they don't ask for any proof of address. I went to Los Angeles and San Francisco USCIS offices for stamping (for me and for my wife). Only time they asked for DL is at the security check point. Basically security personnels needed a govt ID card to let you in inside the building. That's it. At that point any state ID should work - nobody is going to ask why you have out of state DL. After that, nobody asked for DL. And for stamping, your passport is good enough to work as an photo ID. The officers who stamped pasports did not ask for any additional photo ID. I don't know about other district offices though.
