I did a test of 4 different dates (100 cases each) and here's the details

02057(19 cases)
1 - 485 application received
15 - FP received
3 - Approved

02059(25 cases)
3 - 485 application received
15 - FP received
7 - cases transfered

02061(6 cases)
1 - 485 application received
5 - FP recd

02063(9 cases)
3- 485 application received
5 - FP received
1 - Approved

There is one question however. For example your stats

1 - Approved

If there are 9 cases, then what is 3 - 485 application received?
Any clarification on this would be welcome.

I guess it means they didn't yet receive their finger printing notices.

They are those who haven't had

who haven't had notices to have FP done
or haven't completed their FP.

I don't know whether Kids require FP or not.
