Any idea about what the IO ask during the interview? Are they going to ask about US history that kind of stuff? Do I really need to take history class?

Thank you so much

Huh? Haven't you read the naturalization requirements?

You don't need to take history clases. If you read the 100 question you'll be OK. (Of course, if you remember the answers when you'll have the interview ;))

Superho, give him/her a break, if s/he knew what you/we know, s/he wouldn't ask the question in the first place.

As a general comment: I was reading Publicus' posts from the begining when he came to this forum, pretty naive question he posted...and look now, his thread is the most informative one in the forum. People are here to learn.

the interview officer would ask you anything he/she wants which relates with your naturalization application.

it is up to you.

you can refer to this link http://uscis.gov/graphics/services/natz/require.htm

under "Knowledge of English Language, U.S. History, and Government" section

True, however, one would think a little bit of self effort is in order too... Speaking for myself, I usually try to find out on my own before I post on the various boards...or ask where the info may be found so I can look it up...

You're right. I'm filing "Pro Se" my Petiton under 1447 in USDC and, believe it or not, 80-90% of what I know is from this forum, and from the answers to "dumb" question posted by other members...which saved me the embarrassment to post them myself :D

Good luck in February and keep us posted.
:)
