The employment letter is supposed to specify continuation of the employment - Your letter does.

Attorneys advise in addition to open offer of continued employment letter should also state the 140 Job Position and sart date and salary. That does not mean it is necessary...
If getting a new letter is not an option then you have to stay with what you have.
Just remmeber that the letter has to be Notorized and on Company Letter Head.
You can easily prove salary and employment start date with your Paystubbs and Offer letter/first paycheck.
