Sameday EAD in Boston??

Hi all,

Is there anyone got EAD from Boston INS office recently? Do Boston office still have facility of issuing EAD on the same day?

I got my EAD a year back there, without waiting for 90 days. Just got in , gave the 485 receipt along with I765 form and necessary docs. And got the EAD card on the same day.

Is that still available? Please let me know.

I was at Boston last week.

They are very strict about the 90-day rule for issuing Interim EAD. I talked to a supervisor, and he said "We must follow the regulations. The regulations say 90 days. No exceptions". So if you're RD is past 90 days, you can get an interim EAD at Boston. But not a moment before. You can also get full EADs if you're a family-based / marriage petition, but I think they have to send away for the cards so it takes a few weeks.

They do NOT issue employment-based EADs at Boston any more. They must all go to Vermont.
