I got my PP stamped on April 8th, 2005 and on the same day I applied for replacement of my SSN. I told them
them specifically why I was applying for the replacement SSN(Cleveland office). They took
a copy of GC stamp in PP and yesterday I got the replacement SSN card with the Statement
" Valid for work only with DHS authrization". According to my understanding I should have got the SSN
without any restrictions. Does anybody have similar experience?

They screwed up :)
You should get a new card w/o any kind of wording printed on it.

It would be same SSN, but with that work authorization stuff removed.

Maybe their databases didn't reflect your status correctly ??
Go again and give a copy of your PP stamp and let them know it got screwed up once .... have someone check your stuff while you wait to make sure its OK.
