Hi Everyone

I have a very quick question. I work for a big corporation and I am filing
Labor certification with title APPLICATION developer. My minimum requirement is
5 years of experience...Someone else from the company is filing as APPLICATION
developer but his job requirement is 3 years .

Will this create problem. Our minimum special requirements do not match and also our job descriptions are different...any help would be highly appreciated

Thanks

Two jobs can be different although job titles are the same. For example, an application developer's job can require skills in Java, C++, Visual Basic, etc.

Another application developer's job can require skills in Oracle, PL/SQL, Power Builder, etc.

Differences in required skills can make the job opportunities different although job titles and job descriptions are same or similar.

Also, the application developer position (job title) can have multiple levels in a company like Level I for which experience requirement may be 2 years, Level II for which experience requirement may 5 years and so on.

Further, if job location is different, then the two job opportunities may not be considered exactly the same.

For two jobs to be considered "identical", they must bear the same job title, same job location, same job description / duties, same skills requirements, same minimum job requirements (education, experience and/or training), etc.
