Hi, anyone know if any of the centers issue same day interim eads?

I live in md. It has been almost 90 days since I have applied
for my second EAD at the vermont service center.

The most logical to place to apply for my interim EAD is baltimore
but I have heard that it takes them over 30 days to even process the interim ead?

I could rather apply at the Arlington VA, Philidelphia PA, Charleston WV. or anyother centers, if they issue it the same day.

Anyone knows if any any of these or any other centers issue same day Interim EAD?

I got my interim EAD today (Apr 14) at Arlington, VA. It has been 90 days since I had applied for my third EAD (RD - Jan 13,04 & ND - Jan 15,04). I visited Arlington INS office today as they entertain walk-ins every wednesday. It took me just an hour to get the whole process done and I got my interim EAD on the same day.

Just make sure that you are there at around 2 pm (on any Wednesday) as they do not allow anybody after 2.30 pm. You need to wait till they finish the people with appointments first. Then they call the people for interim EAD. (Not sure about cases which are less than 90 days)

Remember to take the following with you

1. Completed I-765 application form(If u don't have one, they will give you one and u can fill it up there)
2. I-765 Receipt Notice(Submit only photocopy)
3. I-485 Receipt Notice(Submit only photocopy)
4. Driving License or Any Photo ID

Good Luck

hi FEB27,
I had been to Arlington INS office today around 11:45 A.m, The receptionist told me to come back, becase they have stopped processing walkins for Intrim EADS on Wednessday 2-2:30 P.M. Since April, 7th EAD's will be processed in regulare hours, i.e 8:30 to 11:00 A.M on Tuesday to Friday.
Can you let us know, when did you enter the building?
thanks...CA98

ca98,

I was there just before 2PM on Apr 14 (Wednesday). They allowed walk-ins as I didn’t have any appointment. Lot of people came without appointment. The security person asked me to wait till they finish all others who had appointment. They collected my application at around 2:30 PM and I was out by 3PM.

Does one need to take 140 filing receipt when applying for interim EAD for the first time?

Yes, Better to carry I-140 receipt/approval also along with other required documents for iEad.
