Help: Salary Raise, PERM PENDING after Audit (>7 months)

Found this forum very very help. Thank you all for puttin this great place on
the web.

anyway, I always get just bad luck. PERM was submitted June last year and
was in process after submission of audit material as of today. Now my employer
considers giving me a big salary raise (60%). Very low salary right now. But
the company lawyer said it will jeopardize my PERM application. Do I have to
wait till the whole greencard process finishes? That's going to be at least two
or three years.... Help please, thank you

What is the reason given by your attornies.. why do they think the raise will be detrimental? I have never heard of GC issues due to higher salary.. it is usually lower salary which is the culprit. Are you sure your Manager and attorney are not working together on this one..- just kidding.

en... i start wondering too.....

but seriously, my company attorny was saying that
1) about my PERM appl, i need to consult my attorny who was hired to
handle my PERM case. and I did and still waiting for his reply.

2) my copany attorny apparantly is very concerned about raising my salary
without change my job title. she believes it will affect other H1B who are
coming on board or on board. she said that our company will be obligated
to pay the same to other H1B with same job title as mine.

and she suggested to change my job title while she is also aware of the
possible jeopardy to my PERM case by doing so.

so that is the whole story, any idea? thanks a lot
