Salary Difference at the start of GC and current to go fo CP

Dear CP Experts. Currently i draw half of what i was getting when i filed for GC .Due to current Market Conditions, Clients don\'t want to pay the consultant more, as they were doing before.
 Will this make a difference. In the CP, will it bring me some trouble or should i wait till market gets better and my employer will raise it back and then go for CP. Pl Advice.
 
There are lot of discussions about this

GC is for future job,please go ahead and get ur salary.
Ofcourse, your employer has to give a letter statign that he would pay the mentioned salary in labor once u get ur GC.
current salary is not important..
