Hi!

I recently got a new certification for my current job so I was thinking to ask for a salary increase for the same exact job. I was wondering if I had to go to the border for a new TN visa for it if it did happen? I did specify my salary in the previous letter.

You should be good, no need to go to border for salary hikes or promotions. Unless and until your job role and responsibilities changes to that extent that you will no longer qualify for the TN category that you obtained your TN
 
There are no salary requirements for TN status.
H1B and GC sponsorship (EB2/EB3) do have minimum Prevailing Wage requirements. H1b employers must pay you the prevailing wage (or higher).
