salaried to hourly on EAD - same company

I am on my 2nd EAD, 140 approved, 485 filed more than a year ago.

I am a salaried (annual) employee of a consulting firm.
My manager (who doesn't know the details of my immigration status) told me that I could switch from salaried to hourly (on W2 itself) if i like, so as to increase my annual gross pay. (i will still be employed by the same company).

My question is, is there any issues at all with this?
I need to file for EAD renewal in a few weeks. At that time, will there be any issues (since my previous filings mentioned annual salary, not hourly)?

thanks

As far as the EAD is concerned, it doesn't matter if you have no job, ten jobs each paying a $1M a year, or anything in between. The only time salary matters is for the actual I-485, and then the only requirement is for the company to demonstrate (if asked, which is unlikely) that they will pay you a wage comparable to that mentioned in the original labor certification. How you are paid doesn't matter.

dms....please reply

You mean to say that till the approval of I-485, it doesn't matter if one gets paid at hourly rate or on annual salary basis. I am also in the similar situation. My I-485 is pending and being paid on hourly basis. Its been worrying me whether hourly pay could pose any problems. Please clarify me again, and I apologise for asking again.

Thnx in advance

I am in similar situation, I have already started working W-2 Hourly, Definately
If I am employed for full year my annaual salary will more than what is in labor
or anywhere else. Still job description ,duties are same.
I hope this is not a problem.

Are there anybody else who is in same situation?

also is there anbody who has done this and received approval ?

Any response is appreciated.
