sanskrit may be

taking a break after his many valuable contributions on the forum. I am sure Sankrit, Orca, Pork and others will continue to contribute in the future. Everyone needs some break.

Spiderman03,

Are you by any chance Sakrit himself ? The style of writing is very similar to Sakrit's.

I-485 will anyway come through sooner or later. But guys like Sakrit are difficult to find. I really miss him in this forums.

Good luck to you.

Sachdev:

Seems like your message scared the spiderman too! Or if spiderman03 was actually Sakrit went into hiding again.!

Cheers!

It certainly feels good to be missed and remembered..

I wanted to (read my spouse forced me to) take a break from this board. It had gotten to a point where I was becoming absent-minded at home and conversations began to trail off into uncomfortable silences.:p

Technically, this post would be in violation of the compact that I worked out but in light of the potential for my good name to be sullied by the arachnical associations, I have been released from my bond and been given 'advance parole' to post!

If I had to guess, spiderman03 is just one more incarnation of the same person that became the off-topic bete noire! But, of-course that is water under the bridge now, I guess.

Sankrit,

Hey - first of all I just signed in to post a reply to sachdev in this thread saying Sakrit is away to India on vacation - wanted to see what kind of commotion and noise that would make:)

For keeps - I think you should contend in some local election like I suggested earlier...hehehee - good or for bad - these guys are after you - so take it higher to keep them happy:)

Thanks, Ghee. I have not yet had a chance to review the postings from the past couple of weeks but I did notice, even before my self-imposed two-week exilement, that Pork, Orca etc. have grown rather reticient in recent times. It may very well be a normal period of detachment that our transplanted existence squeezes us into every once in a while, but likely it may also be the result of the chastisement that has been bestowed upon the meandering mind. However, the thought police need look no further than a few examples like Chomsky and Said to realize the futility of attempting to put blinkers on human endeavor. The august institutions that these gentlemen inhabit(ed) knew this at the outset and have worked to foster an environment that allowed a free rein to further the boundaries of knowledge irrespective of the direction of any given foray. What is interesting is that, in the process of doing so, these institutions seemed to have ensured their own enduring relevance to a more mundane clientele as well.

We would be doing ourselves and others here a disservice if we did not attempt to cultivate an environment that talented and knowledgeable souls would find interesting and would want to hang around. Once this is accomplished, the rest, including answers to those pesky immigration concerns, will automatically follow.

You are very kind. I hang around these boards because I find it satisfying, and I am delighted to hear that I am the cause of some satisfaction as well. It feels good to know that I do not just partake from the wisdom available here, but have found takers for my wares as well. Thanks.

Sankrit

Seems like in the two previous posts you came up with a new writing style :)

Welcome back.

Cheers!

sankrit

good to still find you lurking in the depths of our galaxy. yes - i've grown quieter, thanks to my propitious fin (vis-a-vis Nemo) and coelacanthine (thanks pork!) predispositions (vis-a-vis http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=103775) of late. but i'm managing to gambol all the way into my tortuous 485 forays, and now even the great CIS dithers having me fingerprinted. for the record, i can't help but pity the tens of fingers that will sin again, and the human souls they'll drag to the pulpit.

whew! and you thought punctuated equilibrium was just for punk eeks?

i just noticed...

to the naysayers and OT-bashers: sankrityayan has just caused more controversies now. to serve his slithery purpose, he mentioned Chomsky - himself an incontrovertibly controversial figure. who could forget his thoughts on "rogue states" and who the prime candidate for that most veritable spot remains to be? guys, do we need a Chomsky on this site now?

(sorry, i had to quibble; NC has been high in my list of favorites for more reasons than i could lay down. and, in these sad and dark times for us immigrants, his tone is easily lost among the cacophonous hullabaloo of the outgassing xenophobia. let's just hope that the Gestapo isn't listening.)

Welcome back Sakrit...

Thank you, Shukriya, Dhanyawad, Romba Nandri, Gracias, Spaciba....for coming back.

Aap aye noor aayi...

Time to open the dictionery before we open the forums.

:D

Regards,
