Safe to Change Job?

Hello,

Question to all gurus out there.

My I-140 is approved and I have been with the current employer after I-140 is applied for about 9months.

I-765 however is still pending and its been more than 4months (started an enquiry last week). I-485 is still pending as well.

In this situation, can I safely change employer?

as long as your have applied I-485 and it has crossed 180 days from the date of receipt. you are fine, good thing with you is your I-140 is approved. so when you join make sure that you get an employment letter form the new employer.

Do u know how long it takes to go thru AC21 application procedure?

That is correct if you don't have approved EAD then you can not work on EAD.You will have to transfer H1B visa and that is a whole different story.
AC21 is a letter that you have to send to USCIS and it gets into effect as soon as they get it.

RFE was asking me to take an appointment for bio-metrics. I got the appointment for the month of Nov. And they won't issue me an interim EAD without getting the bio-metrics done.
So does this mean I can not change job without EAD card even thouh my I140 is approved?
 
I would wait for the regular EAD to be approved to change employer, temporary ead is not good, for me it is a risky thing. Better to wait for EAD.
