If s-2045 is passed, it will eliminate the per country limit for Green Cards.
This will also increase the H1B quota.
Does this thing mean that Priority date for India/China will be advanced?
I am EB3,with priority date of March 1999. I am in the I-485 stage.
If this is passed will my priority date will become current in may be 3 years. Does anyone have timeline for this?
Can anyone explain about s-2045?

If S.2045 passes there is possibility of rapid P.D forward movement within one year.

But due to large volume , depending on the final shape of the Bill , I-485 will take it\'s own time , even if u become current. 485 speed may imporve if the ammendment SA.4275 I talked about in ISN.ORG website (Follow above link), stays in the Final Bill signed into law.

You seem to know abt this bill, can you tell me if it may help my situation (like many others). I filed when PD\'s became current. Now since EB3/India had PD which is Feb 97 it will take another 2 years ...

My understanding is if PD is current then only by some miracle the 2 year wait will be reduced.
