I called Tom Tancredo's office, I called my WA Senators'' office.
I have e-mailed the reduction immigration leaders asking them to give us a "seize fire" and break on this EB cause !

I will call tomorrow again first thing in the morning. I have explained how concerned I am with the direction the US is heading on immigration and how I sympathize with this cause. At the same time, I am trying to persuade them that our Employment Base Greencard issue is a legitimate cause and we are valuable immigrants who bring family values and a healthy competition to America. Moreover, I told Sen. Tancredo staff that we have been in the queue for a greencard for several years and we cannot continue to submit ourselves and our families to continue living "half-lives" in the US. I explained that recapturing EB visa numbers from previous years is a fair approach, since visa numbers remained underutilized due to the slow USCIS greencard process.

LET'S ACT NOW OR NEVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

iT IS TIME TO CALL EVERYONE !

I think we need to contact as many senators we can. They need to be educated about the EB issue. I think it is time to try now. Later if it doesn't work we will drink a bottle of wine or two and think about that.

There is really nothing one can say or do to convince hardcore anti-immigrant politicians like Sen Byrd, Rep. Tancredo, Rep. Lamar Smith, Rep. Hostettler and their ilk (illegal is their guise, they truly oppose ALL immigration, even of the skilled, LEGAL type) to change their stance.

It would be best to focus on senators/representatives who are neutral to the issue. Atleast they will listen with an open mind.

I've called/emailed both my senators from NC.

I had sent faxes to all the senators in the senate jud commitee. The amendment needs 51 votes to void the original proposal. Instead of contacting the people who oppose, I choose to contact the senators who support it.

Thanks, that's fine too.
Believe me, many people against the EB number recapture isn't aware of our plight. Explaining to this people who is against may make a difference. Many perceive this increase of recapturing numbers of a way to bring new people. No.

I already got a hardcore immigration reduction group to SPEAK ON OUR BEHALF on this. Too bad may be too late, but let's try.
