Needless to say, for the multitudes of nomads, drifters, aliens, etc., that like to hang around these forums, sites like this one and rupnet have almost attained the status of emotional anchors.
Given the obsessive compulsive nature of this affinity, are you offended like I am that Rupnet does not seem to work very well with anything other than IE. I have been greeted with error messages for quite some time now with both, Opera and Mozilla. They also mention that the site is working to correct this. However, given the amount of time that has elapsed since this started happening, it does not look like there is any effort to make the site compliant with standards-based browsers. The error messages not only caution that one may encounter errors, but also appear to actively promote the use of IE.
While promoting MS in itself may or may not be bad (the site promoters ostensibly are well within their rights to do so if it is in the interest of their business), I find it problematic that Rupnet has not addressed the compatibility issues sorrounding the use of other browsers. I find it sad that some of us are being forced to choose between non-IE browsers and rupnet.
