RTD requirement

Hello all,
I recently applied for a renewal of my RTD. I enclosed my old RTD, 2 photographs, the application and the check. Was I supposed to also give a poof of my elgibility as an asylee? Is not my old RTD a proof already that I am an asylee? Please let me know thanks

I have renewed my RTD four times in past five years.
I always enclose the following documents:

I-131 Form
Two pictures with A# written on the back
Copy of I-94 (issued at the time of asylum approval)
Copy of Asylum approval letter
Copy of RTD ( I sent back original only once, now I keep them)
Money Order for correct amount

The reason you have to provide the proof of your asylee status is because the previous RTD has expired and an expired document can not be used to establish your status. That is why they require a document demonstrating your current status
I hope this helps.

Thanks so much for your help. I just do not understand why would I supply them with my I94 if they already have me in their records.

They want to prevent fraud.
