I am left with 2 more yrs to deal with RTD or RP.I am PR and since fee is going up, which one is better?
RTD for one yr
RP for two yrs
Please share your pros and cons with me, so I can apply before end of this month.

It depends on you. If you travel a lot to Germany which doesnt require a visa on RTD..go for it. Otherwise getting a RTD makes no sense.

Even though Rentry Permit is labelled as people who are out of country for more than 6 months..it doesn't really matter. When you renter U.S, they always ask you how long you been away for and both RP & RTD both look the same and function the same with RP having a little more usefulness if you want to be away for more than 6 months..

I would get the RP.
 
I am in the same boat but they cost $170 while to renew my NP cost $45 . I will go for RP bcos it expires in 2yrs
 
It is so frustating to pay $170 for RTD for one yr and it is also a pain to renew every yr. I may be out of country for a week or so, but I prefer to pay 170 for 2 years, since this will be my last time. I remember it use to be $75 and now fee will go upto 305. I refuse to pay 305. Thank God this will be over soon and I will lead a normal life soon.

Yes I am PR, I waited a long time to see my dream come true, so I am not willing to make even a single mistake to mess it up. If I am not suppose to renew my NP than I will not renew, it is simple. If others want to renew, it is their choice, everybody is entitle to their own choice.
 
I am so confused. Will other countries give visas if we use a RP instead of a RTD? Additionally, is is even ok for us to renew our NP? Will that be a problem during naturalization?

You have been on this topic on "renewing NP". Honestly, it really depends on the Officer.
