My RTD's ND is Aug. 29 2005.
Got email Said as following:
Receipt Number: LIN05249XXXXX

Application Type: I131, APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT

Current Status:

On September 29, 2005, the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued.

Did that mean my case is approved? it sounded too good to be true for such short processing time.

anybody has idea? Thanks a lot in advance.

Yeh, it means that you will get your RTD soon. Did you apply electronically, or through mail?

Gino

Desperate,

Good to you.

Did you try to switch the RTD application to a Reentry Permit appilcation, both using I-131? It seems you didn't.

Sad.

I did not switch to the Reentry Permit, to be perfectly honest with you, I don't know how.

To Gino,
I applied via mail not online.

thank you guys for the writing.

I applied for RTD on June 9 on line, after they received supporting documents LUD change to 6/18 & 6/19 and than 6/26, last week LUD change to 9/26 and than again LUD 10/4, today I log on to my account to read the whole message, which usually says it will take that many days to process. Now it says 60 to 90 days to process.
I remember very clearly that it was 120 to 160 days. Anyone notice the same change? Did they speed up the process?

I remember awhile ago, somebody mentioned that RTD along with I485 based on Asylum are the two that INS is trying to work harder on.
well, according to the message that you got, 60-90days definitely sounded much better than 120-160.
hopefully you get yours soon.

To me it seem like the immigration is to busy baby sitting ND 2001 instead of ND 1999 even with G.C aproval that it not fair at all  well I'm not mad at y'all (ND2001) but I'm just lettle bit jaelous of you guys :o

RTD is so inconvenient! 3 months before expiration it's just useless because no embassy would approve visa. In fact u should apply for a new one 4 months before the old's one expiration date to get it on time! For example mine has an expiration date at the end of June, so if I am planning to travel say in August I need to apply for a new RTD in March.

BTW I remeber someone posted a link where these goofy bastards from USCIS stated for reduction of wait period for RTD to 3 months by September, 30 2005. Another lie by Immigration Service!

Did you get it within 1 month after filing I-131??? Then I applogy for being so rude to USCIS, but they are still goofy bastards for me :p
