I am having a rough H1-B stamping experience in Mumbai. I have been working with this company in the US for a long time however I also got my Canadian PR an year back.
When I appeared for my H1-B (renewal) interview at the Mumbai consulate the lady asked me if I had traveled to Canada and back to the US . I said that I did, which I had done to secure my PR.
Well to my shock she said that she would have to run a background check for me and that I would have to wait for 2 weeks. It has been 3 weeks and still the Mumbai consulate has not gotten back.
Does anybody have a similiar experience? I had gone and returned to USA using my H1-B and auto-renewal and everything had gone very smoothly then.
I do not know what to do !!! Help if you have information.
