Risks in missing the FP appointment

I have to travel outside US for a couple of months and cannot wait endlessly for my FP notice to come...

Does anyone know what happens if one misses the FP appointment? Can INS treat it as intent to abandon 485?

Please share thoughts.
 
do it in advance

Just turn up at ASC in advance and try to explain them verbally and
try and get your FP done. It may not work but it is better that informing INS about it and making it more complicated.

Sorry I didn\'t realize that you dont have a notice. If you dont have FP notice, you still try going to local INS office and explain them
the situation. You may not be succesful if you try it at ASC.
        To start with , you can call IIO and explain her the situation .

If you have the notice, I know it is easy in San Jose & San Francisco.
Oakland ASC may not accept early FP\'s. But I think they too, will do early FP\'s under special conditions.
