I have applied for my I-485 based on an already approved I-140 (NIW). Therefore, I am allowed to change my employer as long as I don't change my field. I have found a position in a start-up company which allows me to work in the same field, but the company currently doesn't have any product. They have enough money to pay me for about one year even if they don't make any profit.
My question is if USCIS asks for a RFE later for an employment verification letter later for my I-485, is it ok for my company (a start-up) to provide the letter? Will USCIS have any problem with a start-up company providing any employment verification letter for NIW?
Am trying to understand any risks involved in joining a startup from an immigration status point of view.
Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
