RIR -> Normal LC, can I keep the priority date?

My RIR was filed in 2001 but got withdrawn due to the massive layoff occurred at that time. My company filed the normal LC at the end of last year so I got a new priority date.

I heard that if you filed RIR before, you may keep the original date for your normal LC process. Is this true? Where can I find the regulation text saying so?
