I have a RIR EB2 application pending in a backlog center. I believe that the application will be approved in near future. However, the company is about to move 50 miles from the current place but this will be different town and different county.
My lawyer says that I will have to work on the location specified in RIR for at least half a year after the green card is received. This is not feasible because there will be no office at the current address in near future. The lawyer recommends closing the RIR application and starting all over again via PERM.
Is this the only way? I cannot believe that all this work and money spent for RIR has to be thrown away just because the company moves to a neighbor town. Sounds very frustrating. Please advise.
