RFEs on 485: any inputs?

Received RFE emails for myself and my wife today. My PD is not even current, it is Aug 2005 for EB2 India. Had biometrics done for both last month and recently case was transferred to NSC. My case details are below in my sig.

1) any idea from the experts on what these could be?
2) are RFEs common on 485?
3) Medicals for my wife and myself were done on 08/24/2005 after which we filed for 485s. Do these expire and need a re-test by any chance? Could the RFE be for these?
4) what are the typical situations where both primary and spouse get RFE same day?
5) how much time does it take to get the actual RFE in mail? who gets it?

mine was also transferred from CSC TO NSC... Today I got RFE message for my I-485? Not sure what that would be... looks like CSC to NSC cases are getting RFEs...

Yes referrals are common

Medical, blood tests are only good for 12 months so you will need new medical

It is usual to get husband and wife referral same day


Takes 2 weeks approx to get refferal

The lawyer gets the RFE notice.

javapoet55: is your PD current? also can you let me know when your lawyer gets your RFE in the mail and what is is about incase there is a pattern like cases tfrred from CSC to NSC? I'll do the same too..

susan: after googling online, I found info. which says that medical tests need to be done only once and are valid till the 485 is adjudicated unless ofcourse there is some problem found in them - is this incorrect?

You are correct. Mine is CSC to NSC. Got a RFE today. Don't know what tit is..
