"Request for Evidence" basically additional information is asked by IIO-Immigration Information officer.

RFE is request for evidence RFE's can be issued for various reasons like employment, medical etc. For ex. if bcis issues an rfe for employment they would want to verify that you have a job (employment letter has to be taken from the employer) and some paystubs from 3 to 6 months, and may be w2 forms also
