I received RFE (legal status) on 10-27-2005. Lawyer responded late November. So far online message only states that RFE was sent out on 10-27-2005. Is it normal that USCIS sometimes does not confirm receiving documents. Please help any suggestions will be appreciated.

Do you have confirmation of delivery from the courier service ?

Sometimes the online system doesn't reflect stuff for weeks. Other things (like approvals of I485s) never show up on the system (you just get the mailed copy and the case just disappears from the system).
 
Hadron thanks for your reply. I do not have courier confirmation, however lawyer had a "special" INS number (which he refused to give me) and was told that documents were received. Is it true that laywers have direct access to INS?

By the way is your case also physician NIW/I-485?
 
Sinayat.. even if u call the 800# they will tell u... just choose the option that u have recived a request for evidence. and then option 2 if i remember.. they will connect u to the Serivce center directly... I actually got a life officer on the phone...
