Hi. I got a Employement RFE saying "Please submit a letter, on company letterhead from the applicant's employer attesting to applicant's job offer or continued employment and a brief description of company's business, the applicant's specific duties, and level of compensation."

I asked my Manager to get me this on companies letter head. Is it ok?

xxx Founded in 1986, is one of the world's largest sellers of office products and an industry leader in every distribution channel, including stores, direct mail, contract delivery, the Internet and business-to-business electronic commerce.

This is to inform you that xxxis an employee of "xxx" working in the capacity of Developer.

She is working with xxx since July, 2001 as Consultant and joined xxx in April, 2003 as Permanent Employee and draws an annual salary of $xxx(Subject to Federal laws of the USA).

In this capacity,she is responsible for Designing, Developing and Implementing the applications using VB,ASP.NET,OLAP,SQL SERVER,ASP,Java Script and VB Script under Windows environment.She works for 40 Hours per week.

Well, in my opinion ask you attorney to make an draft letter for u, ur attorney may pointout some issue and hide some weekside and help to enhanced the letter language.

The letter u posted. look to me that language is very casual, it should look like professional.

or if someone else is reading this post plz share ur Exp letter u submitted...that would be nice too...
 
My lawyers are so busy, they do not even have time to fax me the sample format letter for me. Thats why I have am asking you guys.
 
many ppl who can help u may ignore this becuase the title of thread doesn't represent either u need help/advise or just leting ppl know that u got rfe. u understand what I mean

so here I suggest. Re Post the Fresh thread put Title
"Plz Help - RFE - EVL Sample Required"

and then in subject describe it.

Asking help in this fourm doesn't mean u are begging somthing this is comunity based fourm everyone is sharing whatever they can....so don't hesitate. write clear title. and get attention to those who already had submited EVL, I hope they would made a generic version for u too.

Here is a sample from my RFE response:

Dear Officer:

In support of our previously approved petition to classify Mr. $NAME as the beneficiary of a preference immigrant visa, this is to confirm our continuing desire and intention to employ $NAME as a $POSITION at a salary of $AMOUNT per year.

$NAME's duties will continue to include $WHATEVER_WAS_IN_THE_LABOR_CERTIFICATION_APPLICATION

Then there is a paragraph detailing various mergers, acquisitions and renames basically establishing successor-of-interest for my current company to the company that filed for my labor cert four years ago. It ends with this sentence: So based on this history, we would argue that $COMPANY has assumed the immigration rights and obligations of the original entity, $LABOR_FILER, and is deemed a successor-in-interest able to support $NAME’s application for adjustment of status.

Then statuory greetings follow.
