Hello everybody,

I'm new here. I am from Germany and just got married to a US-Citizen. I am in the I485 process.

Yesterday I received an RFE.

They want the following information:

Joint-Sponsor:
-evidence of age
-evidence of us-citizenship or permanent residency
-W-2

My problem with this is, that my joint-sponsor is self-employed. He says he doesn't receive a W-2.

I am really scared right now because I don't know what do do about this. I already send USCIS his tax return transcripts and his birth certificate. Recently they moved my case to a different service center. Maybe it got lost?

Can anyone help me with this? Does anyone have experience with a self-employed-joint-sponsor? What did you do?

I only have a few weeks to respond. Need help now!

If he is self employed then he should have Schedule C (included in 1040) or Corporation (S Corporation) follow through income to individual 1040, in latter situation he might or might not have w2, enclose either of these documents.

His tax returns should be enough. Also Check if he has 1099-Misc.
