RFE Situation ???

My cousin's wife (Dependent) has recieved an RFE after I-485 approval notice and she had her PASSPORT stamping done. The RFE is for medical examination. They have replied for the RFE back to INS (Saying she cannot take immunization as shes pregnant now).

They are planning to go to india during December month. Do you guys think if there will be any problem at the port of entry? (if there are no decision made by INS)

Anyone have been in the same boat?

Your input will be really appreciated.

Should not be an issue, unless USCIS cancels/revokes her already approved GC. Cancellation of already approved GC is unlikely. And, POE officer is not a USCIS officer, but BCBP officer. BCBP can know about validity of GC, but nothing about the RFE or any internal matter of USCIS.

Thanks for the information.

Only other thing that really bothers me is that if there is a secondary inspection at POE ( I had when i entered last time with PP stamping) , will they be doing any other additional information gathering apart from the usual one.

are not they suppose to check all these things before approval ??
I was under impression that 485 approval is the final step and you are PR as soon as it get approved even if u dont receive plastic card.does plastic card invovles another processing ?

I am soory to divert the topic started by Madman but here I am in very strange situation. got my stamping done, havent received plastic card .. and loosing job .. I was thinking I am safe now .. but reading this thread got scared. It seems plastic card involves some processsing ..

can somebody explain what kind of RFE you can get after approval ??
 
I believe it involves only Medical test RFE after approval. But like you said, it is really strange that they didnt do it before the approval. (atleast my cousin's wife could have used her AP for travel)

Now she has the passport stamped, but online says RFE.
